Metro Broadband Solutions
Metrowave Broadband Networks (MBN) offers ultra-reliable high-speed data services over its fixed wireless broadband networks. Utilizing optical and microwave transceivers on rooftops, Metrowave’s proprietary networks do not rely on incumbent infrastructure and are immune to saltwater intrusion and other environmental failure modes which impact incumbent networks. By maintaining their own last-mile networks, Metrowave can connect customers much faster and provide better services, all at significantly lower cost than incumbent broadband providers.
Metrowave has proven its technology in Miami since 2013 and is prepared to expand up the east coast and beyond with a new round of capital.
· 100% Diverse – No phone company leased lines, 100% proprietary network from customer’s door to multiple Tier 1 carrier POPs
· 100% Carrier Grade
· Fully Redundant – Every path in our Network has a diverse, redundant, alternative path
· 99.999% SLA – The same SLA offered by the Tier 1 carriers
· Highest level of hurricane/disaster resistance – to date: 5 hurricanes, 0 outages
The Metro Telecom Market and its Problems
Metrowave’s primary focus is on the metro telecom market which largely comprises US urban centers and surrounding metro regions. Metrowave’s proprietary local-loop technology works best and most efficiently in these high-density urban areas, which is also where the bulk of business customers requiring ultra-high reliable high-speed broadband are located. Coincidentally, urban centers also happen to be among the most expensive areas to build, maintain and upgrade traditional network infrastructure (due mainly to traffic interruption and city government approval processes), so Metrowave’s aerial network solution is ideally suited to serve metro broadband markets.
Metrowave's Service Offerings
Metrowave’s Proprietary Local-loop Technology
After years of research, development and real world testing, Metrowave has mastered the ultra-high reliable delivery of high-speed broadband services using next-generation fixed wireless technology (i.e., lasers, millimeter-wave radio). While fixed wireless technology has been around for decades, recent advancements allow it to beam gigabit broadband up to two miles away with negligible interference.
This technology allows Metrowave to route around the incumbent stranglehold on traditional broadband infrastructure (strung across poles or buried underground) by building proprietary “local loops” consisting of fixed wireless nodes on rooftops. By beaming high-speed broadband through the air, from rooftop to rooftop, Metrowave’s proprietary network is immune to the types of events which frequently cause outages, i.e., downed utility poles, flooded conduits and rotting cables, cut cables. To date, the Miami network has been operational for over three years without a single unplanned outage. Most importantly, Metrowave offers this high-reliability high-speed network at a significantly lower cost than comparable broadband offerings from incumbents. Metrowave’s value proposition is clear – higher-reliability, higher-speeds and lower costs than anything else on the market.
